Pursuant to articles 13-14 of the European Regulation 679 / 2016 General Data Protection Regulation, the Company ("Company" means Project Esmeralda Srl, based in Pula, Location Santa Margherita, SS 195 Km 39,600), as data controller, is required to provide certain information regarding the use of personal data collected, through the other, with customers.
First of all, we would like to clarify that some personal data (e.g. the details of your ID card showed during the check-in) must be acquired by the Company and communicated to the local Public Safety Authority to comply with specific legal obligations

Source of data
Personal data are usually collected by the Company directly from customers. All data are processed in compliance with current legislation.

Special categories of personal data (‘sensitive data’)
In relation to specific activities or services or in order to be able to pay particular attention to your needs or preferences, it may be necessary for the Company or for the hotel to obtain or process some sensitive data concerning you. In this regard, you will be required to express your written consent regarding the collection and processing of such data as part of the declaration of consent given on the registration form signed by you at the hotel.

Purposes for the processing
Personal data are processed within the normal activity of the Company or hotel, with the following purposes:

purposes related to the management of relationships with customers (e.g. reservations, acquisition of preliminary information to conclude the contract, optimization of the provision of services offered by the hotel, fraud control and recovery of claims, conservation of Your personal data, in order to speed up the registration procedures in case of your subsequent stays at the facility);

purposes related to the obligations provided for by laws, regulations, community legislation or instructions given to competent authorities or supervisory bodies (e.g. anti-money laundering legislation, legislation applicable to the exercise of the hotel business).
On the basis of the aforesaid, we would remind you that the collection, processing and communication of your personal data for the purposes referred to in points 3, a) and b) of this information notice – are considered essential for the performance of the activities of the Hotel in order to provide you with a room and to provide you with any kind of hotel service.

The processing of personal data is carried out using manual, computerized and telematic means, only for the aforementioned purposes and, in any case, in order to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the data.

In carrying out its activities, the Company addresses and disclose your personal data to:

The Data Controller is Progetto Esmeralda S.r.l., with registered office in PULA (CA) - Fraz. Santa Margherita Strada Statale n. 195 Km. 39.600. We inform you that the Data Protection Officer is the company Ecoconsult S.r.l. based in Milan, Via Goldoni, 1, email: dpo@ecoconsult.it. The European Data Protection Regulation provides for the obligation to inform you that it will not process your data with automated decision-making processes. It also informs you that the data collected in this statement will be kept for the time necessary to carry out the operations for which they are acquired. The retention period will be determined in 7 days. The data collection in this form is based on a legal basis defined in the participation in a commercial relationship.

Rights foreseen by the articles 15-22 of EU GDPR
We inform you that the articles 15- 22 of the EU GDPR confer on the data subjects the exercise of specific rights. The EU GDPR contain the right to obtain from the Data Controller confirmation of the existence or otherwise of their personal data and that such data be made available in an intelligible form; to know the origin of the data as well as the logic and the purposes on which the processing is based; to obtain the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law as well as updating, correction or, if interested, integration of data; to oppose, for legitimate reasons, to the processing itself. The EU GDPR also recognize the right of the data subject to submit a complaint with the supervisory authority, the right to withdraw consent at any time and the right to data portability.
